• Biography

  His father, named Jardz Carther, was a Jedi Knight. It was against the Jedi Code for Jedi to be married in order to avoid attachment, and in order to keep his marriage a secret, he was forced to put his son, Malcolm, under a different last name. His son would not know his father or mother. The newborn was known as Malcolm Zebren. Malcolm was accepted into the Jedi Order. However, he proved to be slow in learning the Force as his training progressed. Despite this, he was very skilled with a Lightsaber and he became a padawan. His master often tried to teach him to effectively use the Force, and failed in doing so. He was soon deployed to Geonosis with his master, and they were tasked with leading a small scouting unit consisting of clone troopers. In one scouting mission, however, they had been spotted and surrounded on the ledge of a mountain. A Persuader-class Droid Enforcer fired at his master, and Malcolm sensed that his master may die. In an attempt to save his master, he managed to pick up a destroyed droid using the Force and throw it at the incoming blast. However, he missed the throw and ended up hitting his master with it, which propelled him directly into the blast, killing his master. The remaining clones managed to fight off the droids. Malcolm forced the clones to not speak of what had happened, and told the Jedi Council that the droid tank had shot him. His father, who he did not know, was assigned to become his new master. Jardz told Malcolm that he was his father, and Malcolm successfully learned how to use the Force properly with him. However, Malcolm still, to this day, has a bit of a grudge on his father for abandoning him at birth. Malcolm then became a Jedi Knight, which is when he encountered his first Sith. Malcolm managed to beat the Sith by using the Force to heavily wound him. Before the fight could end, the Sith tried to make a deal with Malcolm, saying that he'd teach him more ways to use the Force if he stopped the fight. Malcolm was curious and accepted. The Sith took him to his house, where he began to teach him Sith Alchemy. Malcolm was quite fond of this skill and went there regularly to learn more, keeping it a secret from the Jedi. However, as he went there more, the Sith began to corrupt him, and he started to favor the Dark side more and more. He would still be a Jedi, but he continues to lean towards the Dark side of the Force.
